Bitts (vessel) / bollard (dock)
Paired posts used to secure a line on a vessel or a dock.
How to sign
Use Dominant R-hand: rope classifier. The base or passive hand is Non-dominant hand forms two upright posts. Set two posts at one vessel or dock locus; fingerspell B-I-T-T-S for vessel hardware or B-O-L-L-A-R-D for dock hardware. Wrap the rope around the pair, then make one taut pull. Hold the rope secured around the posts. Set two upright hands as paired posts. Wrap the R-hand rope around the pair and finish with a taut pull. Use B-I-T-T-S for vessel hardware; B-O-L-L-A-R-D for a dock fixture.
