Logica Logica 59
About this yacht
The Logica 59 represents a meticulous approach to superyacht construction, where every system and surface has been scrutinized by leading specialists in their respective fields. This 59-meter motor yacht combines proven naval architecture with thoughtful engineering solutions designed for extended ocean passages. Pierluigi Ausonio of Plana Design developed the hull lines, which underwent comprehensive tank testing in Zagreb under challenging conditions, including simulated seas with three-meter wave heights. The result is a three-screw configuration that delivers reliable performance across diverse cruising grounds. Martin Kemp Design collaborated with ACube Design on the interior layout, while ACube also shaped the exterior profile in close consultation with Logica's technical team. From the outset, acoustic comfort received particular attention. Engineer Roberto Vergara implemented noise and vibration reduction measures across 1,100 square meters of the yacht's structure—nearly double the treatment area typically found on comparable vessels from established Italian yards. All steel surfaces, including interior ceilings, were sandblasted to SA 2.5 standard, creating optimal conditions for subsequent finishing work. The Logica 59 features a professional-grade Kongsberg dynamic positioning system, working in concert with a 150kW Schottel jet stern thruster and 200kW CMC bow thruster. The Schottel unit serves dual purposes: precision maneuvering and emergency propulsion at 5-6 knots should the main engines fail. An additional Kongsberg control station on the sun deck allows the captain to manage the yacht from an elevated position, preserving guest privacy on the pool deck below. Outdoor spaces reflect a focus on usability and scale. The upper deck swimming pool measures 7.0 by 3.0 meters, fitted with six hydromassage jets and a counter-current system for stationary swimming. The beach club expands from 70 square meters to 100 square meters when all three platforms deploy, creating a waterside environment that includes a sauna, shower facilities, bar area, and fitness equipment. Interior volumes accommodate 20 guests across generously proportioned staterooms. Each guest suite spans 29 square meters, while the owner's domain includes a private 30-square-meter fitness area forward of the master bedroom. A Bertazzoni glass elevator with 300-degree visibility connects the yacht's levels. Technical infrastructure includes a four-pipe air conditioning system—an advanced configuration for this class—allowing simultaneous heating and cooling in different zones. The underlower deck houses dedicated laundry facilities with Miele professional equipment, plus refrigerated storage totaling 3,400 liters across walk-in cells, standard units, and climate-controlled wine storage. A separate crew galley ensures the main deck galley remains exclusively for owner and guest service. The 20-millimeter teak decking exceeds the 15-18mm standard for yachts of this size. A custom Pin Craft gangway rotates 90 degrees for alongside mooring and extends 1.5 meters for easier boarding. Retractable sun awnings cover both the main and upper deck cockpits, stowing into recessed aluminum housings. The sun deck features a sliding glass enclosure system that transforms the space from open-air to climate-controlled. Audio-visual and automation systems utilize Basalte control interfaces throughout, with Lutron motors driving all window treatments and managing lighting scenarios. Materials selection emphasizes quality Italian marbles, including Calacatta Borghini, with each slab individually inspected before installation. Built under RINA classification with MCA compliance, Green Class, and Comfort Class certifications, the Logica 59 demonstrates how systematic attention to engineering details and specialist collaboration can elevate a motor yacht's capabilities for worldwide cruising.
