Amer Yachts

Italian motor yachts combining composite, aluminium and steel construction.

Amer Yachts is an independent Italian motor-yacht builder whose official company history traces the brand to 1990 and its founder Fernando Amerio. The site also connects the company to the earlier Permare business, founded in 1973. The current portfolio includes models from the 28-metre Amer 96 Sanremo through the 38.31-metre Amer F126 Confort and beyond, with different materials and project types identified on the fleet page.

The range is not presented as a single-construction programme. The fleet page lists composite, GRP, aluminium and steel-and-aluminium combinations on different models. This makes material selection a model-specific matter rather than a general claim about every Amer yacht. The same caution applies to the manufacturer’s stated low-impact strategy: it is an explicit theme in the company’s communication, but its performance implications depend on a particular model, configuration and use.

Amer’s brand material describes research and development, technical partners and tailor-made projects as part of its approach. It also refers to slow-speed efficiency alongside higher-speed operation. Construction material, length and intended use differ across the Amer portfolio, so a buyer needs the specification of the yacht being considered.

Amer's fleet extends across different sizes, project types and construction materials, from the 28-metre Amer 96 Sanremo to larger yachts. This breadth gives buyers options but makes a single brand-level description a poor substitute for a project comparison.

The practical decision is which combination of length, construction, range and accommodation suits the owner's cruising programme. Material choice also has consequences for engineering and maintenance, so the specification of a particular Amer project should lead the discussion before aesthetic or performance preferences are finalised.
