Arcadia yacht
Italian motor yachts shaped around indoor-outdoor living and solar-assisted onboard systems.
Arcadia Yachts is an Italian builder whose official materials place the shipyard on the Gulf of Sorrento and identify 22 December 2009 as the launch date of the first Arcadia 85. The company frames its work through an idea of proximity to the sea: generous glazing, natural light, ventilation and transitions between enclosed interiors and open decks recur across its published fleet and technology pages. Its current fleet is divided between the A collection—A85, A105, A115, A80 and A96—and the Sherpa collection, represented by Sherpa 60 and Sherpa 80.
The shipyard's own technology presentation links this spatial approach with in-house hull forms, roof-mounted solar panels, battery storage, insulated glazing and convertible openings. Arcadia states that its hull forms can reduce consumption relative to comparable yachts and that stored solar energy can supply selected onboard appliances. The official model pages illustrate the same approach in different formats: the A96 highlights balconies and convertible living areas, while the Sherpa 60 describes an aft deck of more than 50 square metres, solar panels and below-deck storage.
The Arcadia models represented here span 18.67 m to 34.99 m, a difference that changes how open decks, enclosed living areas and crew space can be distributed.
Arcadia's fleet repeatedly brings glazing, natural light and open-deck connections into the main living areas. Solar-assisted onboard systems are another part of its published approach, but their contribution depends on the configuration of the yacht concerned.
An owner should compare how each model works in the climates and anchorages it will encounter. Interior comfort, shaded and open areas, ventilation and the practical role of the specified energy system will matter more than a broad claim about indoor-outdoor living.
