Bénéteau Yachts

French builder of sailing yachts, motor yachts and dayboats.

BENETEAU is a French boatbuilder whose brand history dates the brand to 1884 in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, Vendée. The company states that it initially built boats connected with the fishing industry, then moved toward recreational craft in the 1960s. Its current presentation is organised across sailboats, motor yachts and dayboats, rather than around one single type of boating.

The sailing portfolio currently includes Oceanis, Oceanis Yacht, First, First SE and Figaro. The range navigation separately shows motor-yacht families such as Gran Turismo and Swift Trawler, and dayboat families including Flyer and Antares.

The Oceanis Yacht 60 carries naval-architecture credit to Biscontini Yacht Design and interior and exterior design credit to Lorenzo Argento, giving the model a distinct design identity within the wider fleet.

BENETEAU's portfolio crosses sailing, motor cruising and day boating, with the Oceanis and First families alone serving different sailing priorities. The history of the brand provides context, but it does not make these boat types interchangeable.

The search is clearer once the owner selects a use case before a model family: active sailing, relaxed cruising, short motor outings or longer accommodation-led travel. Only then do size, deck handling, protected space and the specific configuration of a yacht become meaningful comparison points.
