Najad Yachts
Swedish centre-cockpit sailing yachts for long-distance cruising from the island of Orust.
Najad Yachts is a Swedish sailing-yacht builder based in Henån on the island of Orust. The official pages present these as bluewater-oriented cruising yachts, with the yard connecting its work to the long boatbuilding tradition of Orust and to practical owner use at sea.
The current Najad site identifies Henån as its home, and the N570 CC page provides a clear example of the builder’s model-level specification approach.
Najad's centre-cockpit sailing yachts are shaped by long-distance cruising from its Orust base. The N570 CC provides a model-level example of the yard's bluewater orientation, while its size and systems cannot be assumed for every Najad.
The owner should compare passage plans, crew size, weather protection and the living routine expected at sea. Cockpit layout, sail handling, storage and maintenance access on the selected yacht determine whether it meets those practical demands. The centre-cockpit layout is also worth viewing during watch changes and at anchor, when the separation of spaces can matter as much as the passage itself.
