Pegasus Yachts
Slovenian blue-water sailing yachts designed for fast, practical short-handed passage making.
Pegasus Yachts is a Slovenian builder of blue-water sailing yachts. Its public range is centred on Pegasus 50 and Pegasus 67, two projects intended for owners who want to undertake serious passages while retaining practical short-handed operation. The official model pages frame the yachts around layout ergonomics, protected cockpit living and careful weight management. These are useful design themes, but actual equipment and performance remain dependent on the selected yacht and configuration.
Both correspond directly to current official models. The PEGASUS 50 page describes a 14.94-metre yacht with two- or three-cabin arrangements, while the PEGASUS 67 page describes choices of cabin and head layouts.
Pegasus's 50 and 67 are bluewater sailing projects with an emphasis on short-handed passages, cockpit protection and careful weight management. Their difference in scale changes the trade-off between owner operation and living capacity.
The buyer should test the sailing controls against the regular crew, then examine storage, accommodation and systems for the intended route. A yacht that is comfortable at anchor must also be manageable through a long passage, which is the useful point of comparison between the two Pegasus models. Cockpit protection should be assessed both in a sailing watch and during everyday life at anchor.
