Wally Yachts

Ferretti Group design-led yachts across wallywhy, wallypower, wallytender and wallywind families, plus individual Wally projects.

Wally is a Monaco-founded yacht brand known for bringing contemporary architecture, advanced materials and performance-led engineering into both sailing and motor yachts. Established by Luca Bassani in 1994 and part of Ferretti Group since 2019, Wally has built its identity around a simple principle: form should follow function. The result is a recognisable design language of clean surfaces, uninterrupted lines, open decks and unusually direct connections between the interior, exterior and sea.

The range addresses several different ways of using a yacht. The wallywhy family rethinks interior volume and onboard living through wide glazed areas, open-plan spaces and unconventional layouts. Wallypower models are fast and architectural motor yachts, while wallytender boats can serve as day boats, weekenders, chase boats or superyacht tenders. The wallywind range returns to the brand’s sailing roots, combining carbon construction, performance-oriented naval architecture and highly customisable cruising interiors. Production is integrated into Ferretti Group’s Italian network, including dedicated facilities in Forlì and Ravenna.

Wally’s distinction is not based on decoration alone. Many of the features now associated with modern yacht design—flush decks, opening bulwarks, large beach areas and flexible indoor-outdoor spaces—have been central to the brand’s work for decades. Even its most radical-looking yachts are designed around how owners and guests move, sail, entertain and spend time near the water.

Wally will suit a buyer who wants the yacht itself to be a clear expression of contemporary taste. It is less likely to appeal to someone seeking traditional nautical styling. The choice between wallywhy, wallypower, wallytender and wallywind depends on whether the priority is living space, speed, flexible day use or the experience of performance sailing.
