How to sign

Use Dominant 1-hand, fingers together: taut line. The base or passive hand is Non-dominant upright 1-hand: mast; stern locus established. Set mast and stern. Start at the masthead. Trace one firm diagonal down and aft to the stern. Hold at the stern endpoint for one beat to show a taut backstay. Place mast and stern. With a 1-hand, trace one taut diagonal from masthead down to stern; hold the line briefly.
