The control that tensions the foot of a mainsail along the boom.

How to sign

Use Dominant R-hand: rope classifier. The base or passive hand is Non-dominant flat-B/1-hand: mainsail foot and boom. Set mainsail and boom. Start at the clew. Trace along the boom outward toward its end, then make one short outward pull. Hold at the boom end with the foot shown tensioned. Place mainsail and boom. From the clew, trace a line outward along the boom toward its end, then make a short outward pull.
