How to sign
Use Dominant 1-hand, palm down. The base or passive hand is Non-dominant horizontal flat-B, palm down: established boat base. Keep the established boat orientation. Place the index at the boat’s own port edge. Make one short outward point from that edge. Hold at the boat’s port edge; do not use an unanchored body-relative LEFT. Establish the boat first, then indicate the boat's own left side. Do not use an unanchored body-relative LEFT; preserve the side of the established boat.
