Starboard
The right side of a boat when looking toward the bow.
How to sign
Use Dominant 1-hand, palm down. The base or passive hand is Non-dominant horizontal flat-B, palm down: established boat base. Keep the established boat orientation. Place the index at the boat’s own starboard edge. Make one short outward point from that edge. Hold at the boat’s starboard edge; do not use an unanchored body-relative RIGHT. Establish the boat first, then indicate the boat's own right side. Do not use an unanchored body-relative RIGHT; the side must remain correct when the boat locus is rotated.
