A side wire support running from the mast to the side of the boat.

How to sign

Use Dominant 1-hand, fingers together: taut line. The base or passive hand is Non-dominant upright 1-hand: mast; selected boat side established. Set mast and the chosen hull side. Start at the masthead. Trace one firm diagonal down to that side of the hull. Hold at the side endpoint; repeat in parallel only when plural shrouds are meant. Place mast and the boat side. With a 1-hand, trace one taut diagonal from the masthead to the selected side of the hull. Use plural repetition for multiple shrouds.
