How to sign

Use Dominant 1-hand, fingers together: taut line. The base or passive hand is Non-dominant upright 1-hand: mast; boat base may remain established. Set mast and bow. Start at the masthead. Trace one firm diagonal down and forward to the bow. Hold at the bow endpoint for one beat to show a taut forestay. Place mast and bow. With a 1-hand, trace one taut diagonal line from the masthead down to the bow; hold the end briefly to show tension.
