Square knot

A knot joining two ends of the same line.

How to sign

Use Both R-hands: two rope ends. The base or passive hand is No passive hand; both hands are active rope ends. Hold two rope ends facing each other at the same level. Cross right-over-left, then left-over-right at the same locus. Flatten and hold the joined center as one tightened square knot. Establish two R-hand rope ends. Cross right-over-left, then left-over-right in the same locus, ending with a flat tightened knot.
