The sail plan emphasizes "easy sailing" without sacrificing the responsive handling that defines the Grand Soleil lineage. Below deck, the GS52's sandwich construction and composite bulkheads create surprisingly spacious accommodations without excess weight. The bowsprit extends 90 centimeters beyond the Performance specification, improving asymmetric sail efficiency and downwind performance. Textile lifelines reduce weight, and optional carbon spars further enhance the power-to-weight ratio essential for racing success.
