1. Yachting roots
25 years of personal yacht ownership, competitive sailing, and work with premium charter companies. This experience revealed the real problems yacht buyers face — and the limitations of the dealer-broker model.
2. Market insight
The yacht sales market is structured around dealers who represent one shipyard and brokers who work with a handful of brands. Nobody represents the buyer. This fundamental conflict of interest became the starting point for LYRA.
3. Digital foundation
Building the first independent yacht database covering 290 shipyards and over 1,700 models, with hundreds of parameters assigned to each yacht. Mathematical precision replaced subjective opinions.
