LYRA uses a minimal set of cookies, limited to those essential for the website to function properly:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for core functionality. Without them, certain features (such as signing in) will not work.

  • Session cookie (Better Auth) — maintains your authenticated session after you sign in with Google or Apple. Expires when your session ends.
  • cf_clearance (Cloudflare) — verifies that you have passed the Turnstile bot protection challenge. Expires after 30 minutes.

Functional Cookies

These cookies provide enhanced functionality such as video playback.

  • Vimeo player preferences — remembers your video playback settings (volume, quality) when watching yacht videos. Session-based.

Cookieless Analytics

LYRA uses a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool (Umami) to understand how visitors use our website. This tool:

  • Does not set any cookies on your device
  • Does not use localStorage, fingerprinting, or any client-side identifiers
  • Collects only aggregated, anonymous data: page views, referrer, device type, and browser
  • Does not collect personal data such as names, emails, IP addresses, or search queries
  • Is hosted on our own infrastructure — no data is shared with third parties

Because this tool sets no cookies and stores no data on your device, no cookie consent is required under EU ePrivacy Directive or UK PECR regulations.

What We Do Not Use

LYRA does not use:

  • Advertising or targeting cookies (no ad networks, no retargeting)
  • Social media tracking cookies (no Facebook Pixel, no similar trackers)
  • Cross-site tracking of any kind

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, functional cookies, and cookieless analytics, no cookie consent banner is required under current EU and UK regulations.

Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in to LYRA.

Changes to This Policy

If we introduce cookies or change how we use analytics, we will update this policy and implement appropriate consent mechanisms as required by law.
